My Story

Let me share my journey with you.
You see, I have been on a journey too...

Get to know me

Hi, I’m Sarisha Naidoo, founder of Navigate Life coaching, who was born in the Rainbow Nation, South Africa but has made a home for myself under London’s grey skies where I discovered my true passion for helping other people find their paths in life. I am based in London but offer life and mindset coaching services to clients across the UK and Europe via video conferencing as well. I am dedicated to help my clients find direction and purpose in their lives and to assist people who feel like they have reached a stalemate in life, to move on and achieve their full potential.

My background is in the legal profession, having completed a Bachelor of Laws degree in South Africa and an advanced certificate in Compliance from Manchester Business School. My rich corporate experience in practising as an admitted attorney for several years as well as a stint as a successful entrepreneur coupled with my passion for helping people get their lives back on track, prompted me to acquire the relevant coaching skills and transform my career. I am a certified Master Life Coach and have further accreditation in the techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and am a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and Mindfulness coach.

Seeking support from Navigate Life coaching gains you a supportive cheerleader; who will help you overcome the challenges in life and celebrate the success with you. It is through these experiences that you will experience growth, achieve confidence, and believe in yourself regardless of the stumbling blocks that may appear in your way.

My Personal Journey!

My personal journey took me down a path I would never have imagined. For some time, it felt as though I was living the cliched ‘perfect life’! I had a happy marriage with 2 amazing kids and a beautiful home, all while enjoying the luxury of being a stay at home mum and having an extremely busy social calendar. Despite the regular exotic holidays, social events and trappings of materialistic pleasures, I felt that there was something missing and that I wasn’t truly happy.

I developed a crippling lack of self-esteem and used food, excessive drinking and physical exercise to numb the ‘pain’ over the past few years. What triggered this dark phase in my life was being betrayed by my husband through his infidelity with my best friend.

Despite trying to work through the pain of this experience, I eventually decided that the only way forward for me was to divorce my husband. Nothing can ever prepare someone for the sheer upheaval, trauma and sheer mental exhaustion going through a divorce can cause! Do I regret putting myself through this – not for a second!

As part of the healing process, I embarked on a journey of both traditional and holistic counselling and self-discovery. I immersed myself in learning, reading and personal self-development. After starting to learn to deal with the deep state of depression I found myself in, I took a significant step in my life journey by engaging with a life coach who guided me onto a path that I had been unknowingly longing for but somehow eluded me. A few things that I will forever be indebted to my coach for:

  • he helped me get clarity.
  • he believed in me when I still had doubts.
  • he reminded me how to stand in my power.
  • he kept me accountable to what I said I would do.

This inspired me to train myself to become a certified life coach and to use my experience and journey of having to overcome seemingly unimaginable adversity, to follow my purpose and help others through their times of weakness and vulnerability. It’s now my mission in life to help people break free from the notion that they have to follow a stereotypical path that is expected of you, but rather to embrace their free will and desired goals and unleash their full potential.
